Hello!

My name is Erica Furjanic.

BIO:

Erica Furjanic is driven by a passion for capturing the essence of life through visual expressions. Drawing inspiration from her childhood spent exploring the beaches of Brasil and now immersed in the landscapes of Pennsylvania, she has cultivated a deep affinity for the ocean and its symbolic representation of resilience and beauty. Her artwork often features intricate drawings of flowers, symbolizing life's stages from vibrant bloom to quiet introspection. These themes are central to her artistic exploration, blending mediums such as chalk pastels with colored pencils or pairing watercolors with ink to portray the natural world's intricate patterns and vibrant colors.

Through her art, Erica aims to evoke a sense of wonder and connection to the natural world, inviting viewers to contemplate their own experiences and relationships with the environment. Her pieces serve as visual narratives, capturing the cyclical nature of life and the enduring beauty found in every stage. By highlighting the ocean's timeless allure and the delicate intricacies of floral forms, she seeks to inspire a deeper appreciation for biodiversity and the interconnectedness of all living things.

Erica is a high school art teacher, seeker of travel and new adventures, and one of four crazy members of the Furjanic house of chaos. When not teaching, sitting on the ball field or in front of the stage with her daughters, she can be found in her art studio, experimenting in her kitchen, or reading a book, preferably by the ocean.
